La escritora madrileña María del Carmen Aranda presentará este viernes, 4 de noviembre, su libro de poemas y relatos cortos ‘Susurros al aire’ en una nueva sesión de los Viernes de Sarmiento que se celebran en el centro cultural del BBVA de Valladolid.
El encuentro, que coordina Araceli Sagüillo, arrancará a las 20.00 horas y en él Aranda leerá fragmentos de su última obra, en la que entrelaza prosa y narrativa para trasladar «historias reales envueltas en la imaginación» y el deseo de «recuperar unos valores cada día más olvidados», según ha informado la autora en declaraciones a Europa Press.
Nacida en Madrid en 1958, María del Carmen Aranda cursó estudios en Suiza y se diplomó en Comercio Exterior en España. Actualmente trabaja en una multinacional japonesa, pero han sido las letras su «auténtica pasión».
Durante su periplo en Reino Unido dio los primeros pasos en el mundo de las letras, inicialmente en la poesía y los relatos cortos, donde destacan sus composiciones ‘Flores Nuevas’, ‘Cálida Esperanza’ o ‘Palabras Indiscretas’.
No obstante, no fue hasta el año 2008 cuando se decidió a publicar su primera novela, ‘Flores entre Escombros’, un relato biográfico dentro de un contexto cultural y político que se remonta a la dura posguerra española y, más concretamente, a la situación de los niños en una época de «penurias, hambre y estrecheces».
Un año después salió a la luz ‘Impresiones y Recuerdos’ y, en 2010, ‘La Quinta Clave. Encuentra lo que siempre has buscado’, una profunda reflexión contada a través de curiosos y atípicos personajes, sobre la constancia, la búsqueda de la felicidad y la fuerza de la fe a la hora de convertir un sueño en realidad.
En junio de 2013 publicó ‘Las Ventanas del Mundo’, novela «visionaria, futurista y llena de fantasía» donde plasma su espíritu «crítico e inconformista» de un mundo actual «en decadencia» y un futuro año 2487 de nuevas civilizaciones que desvelan sus secretos, sistemas de vida o alimentación, y sus consecuencias. En ella muestra su preocupación por el planeta, donde «una sola decisión tendrá el poder de cambiarlo todo».
Articulista en la Revista Otro Mundo es Posible en su espacio ‘El Rincón de Carmen’. Entre sus reconocimientos figura el nombramiento como embajadora Universal de la Paz del Círculo de Embajadores con sede en Ginebra (Suiza) y París (Francia), así como el premio cultural César Vallejo en Puerto Rico o el Premio a la Excelencia Literaria en Orlando (Estados Unidos) de la Unión Hispanomundial de Escritores (UHE).
